Nirvana Labs October 2025 Roundup
Building the Performance Cloud for Web3
October was an exciting month at Nirvana Labs. We shipped a new connectivity product that strengthens our stack, moved one step closer to completing our full cloud offering of compute, storage, and networking, achieved a major compliance milestone, and welcomed new team members who will help us build the performance cloud for Web3.
Here’s what moved:
🌐 Nirvana Connect Shipped
Nirvana Connect is LIVE.

We launched Nirvana Connect - private fiber connectivity between Nirvana Cloud and major cloud providers like AWS and GCP.
This gives builders the ability to run distributed workloads with:
- Private backbone connection (no public internet pathing)
- Lower latency for performance-critical systems
- No egress costs between environments
We also released an educational breakdown on how private fiber networking solves latency, reliability, and cost issues for real-time Web3 infrastructure.
What is "Private Internet"? 🧵 1/

The Internet is a vast collection of networks.
Millions of networks... ISPs, cloud providers, enterprises... stitched together into a massive mesh so data can travel from point A to point B.

Key leadership additions include:
- April Wong, Chief Marketing Officer
Previously at Crypto.com and SushiSwap, bringing experience across 40+ chain integrations, product marketing, and ecosystem growth. - Karun Kallakuri, Head of Infrastructure
Background in HFT and AI compute environments, with experience architecting and operating high-performance clusters for firms including Optiver and Citadel. - Rick Davis, Head of Nodes
Deep background in distributed systems and DevOps with prior roles at Verizon, Figment, and Dell, focused on scaling reliable node and edge infrastructure. - Timothy Ebeling-Born, Director of Customer Success
Over a decade in enterprise customer success, including Microsoft, focused on turning advanced infrastructure into successful customer outcomes.
This group blends infrastructure depth, Web3 execution experience, and customer-focused scaling.
🌩️ Resilience Lessons Reinforced
The AWS outage this month was a reminder of something simple but critical: resilience = redundancy.
We shared an explainer on how private connectivity and backup paths help prevent ripple effects when clouds stumble.
Why did one AWS glitch freeze @coinbase, choke ETH L2s, and slow down half the internet? 🤔

Why does a “decentralized” ecosystem rely on one cloud?
Let’s talk about today’s outage, the real Layer 0, and how to fix it. #Web3Infra
