Nirvana Labs March 2026 Roundup
Nirvana Labs March 2026 Roundup — AWS pricing comparison, Accelerated Block Storage (ABS) benchmarks, Nirvana Kubernetes Service (NKS), enterprise SSO & audit logs. Modern cloud for Web3, AI & real-time systems.
March was all about clarity, performance, and control.
We cut through cloud complexity with better tools for comparison and decision-making, shipped major storage benchmarks that turned heads, launched enterprise-grade features, and made Kubernetes dramatically simpler on modern cloud.
Here’s what moved.
Pricing Calculator: Finally, Honest Cloud Comparison
Cloud pricing today is confusing - instance families, IOPS charged separately, unpredictable egress, and performance locked behind premium tiers.
We simplified it.

Our new pricing calculator focuses on the resources teams actually use:
💻 Compute
🗄️ Storage
🧠 Memory
🌐 Networking
It lets you compare the same workload with similar specs between AWS and Nirvana - clear, transparent numbers with no hidden costs. Performance is included by default.
When teams run the numbers, total costs often come back 70–90% lower.

Benchmarking ABS: Accelerated Block Storage vs AWS EBS
We put our Accelerated Block Storage (ABS) to the test against AWS gp3 and io2 using real analytical workloads (ClickBench) and raw FIO benchmarks across a 16-VM cluster.

Key results:
- ABS delivered ~10–14× faster cold-read performance than gp3 on analytical queries.
- On high-IOPS workloads, ABS performed very close to io2 (within 1.5× on ~77% of queries, within 2× on ~98%).
- Real-world: 20K sustained IOPS per VM (80/20 mix), ~3.5ms latency on 4K writes, and 408–430 MB/s throughput.
- Price example (1TB volume at ~10K sustained IOPS): – ABS: $95.7/month – AWS gp3: $116.9/month – AWS io2: $778/month
Takeaway: ABS removes the cold-read cliffs of gp3, matches io2 behavior where it matters, and costs a fraction of the price. It’s becoming the default for ETL pipelines, OLTP/ClickHouse, analytics, and blockchain nodes.

Enterprise Controls Now Live
Organizations, Projects, Member Management, Audit Logs, and SAML SSO are now available.

Production teams finally have the visibility, access control, and security they need - without the usual enterprise complexity or cost.

NKS: Nirvana Kubernetes Service is Live
Running Kubernetes just got easier.

NKS gives you the same configs and workflows you already know, but without managing the control plane, upgrades, or underlying infrastructure.
Clusters spin up in minutes with built-in load balancing, persistent storage (ABS), auto-scaling, and native integration into Nirvana’s high-performance stack. No extra cost for orchestration.

The Bigger Picture: Hyperscaler, Bare Metal, or Modern Cloud?

We continued the conversation on infrastructure tradeoffs. Most teams start on hyperscalers, some move to bare metal for raw speed — but a third option is gaining traction: modern cloud that delivers the best of both.
Consistent high performance, predictable pricing, and far less operational pain.

Where Did the Latency Go?

Latency doesn’t come from one place. It accumulates across the stack.
Application → Compute → Storage → Networking → Datacenter distance.
We broke down where latency actually hides in your infrastructure 👇

What’s Next
- More NKS updates
- More Product upgrades
- New use cases
- Continued focus on real-time and data-heavy workloads (Web3, AI, analytics)
Same mission as always: Make performance the default - not a premium add-on. No throttling. No burst credits. Just fast, reliable infrastructure that scales with you.
Data never stops growing. Your cloud shouldn’t slow it down.
